The Person and Work of Jesus Christ in Each Book of the Old Testament Seen in Its New Testament Fulfillment—An Emmaus Walk is unavailable, but you can change that!

Gary Staats works his way through the Old Testament, providing a Christological study that uncovers and explicates Christ’s presence and role in each season of Israel’s history, much like Jesus did for his disciples when he appeared to them on the road to Emmaus. This work is a Christological study that unveils Jesus as the center of all Scripture through the examination of nearly 100 passages.

We begin, appropriately enough, at the very first moment, before time as we know it today could even be measured, the moment when God spoke the universe into existence. The opening phrases of the great book of Genesis contain important milestones along the Biblical path that leads to the Messiah. Genesis 1:1 reads, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” or Bere’shit bara’ Elohim et hashshamayim ve’et ha’aretz (transliterated from the Hebrew).
